Prof. Zhe XUANYUAN is the Associate Dean for Research and Development of the Faculty of Science and Technology (FST) at UIC. He is a professor in the Department of Statistics and Data Science. He obtained his B.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering and Mathematics from Peking University and his Ph.D. degree from the Department of Electronic and Computer Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His prior experience includes positions at 2012 central research lab of Huawei and the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Sun Yat-sen University. Prof. XUANYUAN is the principal investigator for several research projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the Ministry of Education. His main research interests encompass computer networks, cloud computing, as well as robot mapping and navigation. Upon joining UIC, he has also taken on roles such as Programme Director of Data Science and Assistant Dean for Research within FST.
